The most recent hair restoration advancement is the Follicular Unit Extraction technique.  This technique entails the following general steps:

Step 1:  The Bosley physician begins to map out the hair line while carefully considering facial dimensions and an age-appropriate look.

Step 2:  The donor area is prepped for shaving and anesthesia.  Given local anesthesia is used, Bosley patients often eat, read, watch movies, listen to music and even sleep during the procedure.

Step 3:  The Bosley physician begins to extract the follicles.  Follicles can contain anywhere from 1-3 hairs.

Step 4:  The Bosley physician creates the sites for placement of the follicles.  Specific depth, angle and location are used to create a perfectly natural look.

Step 5:  The graphs are artistically placed into the sites.
