How do you make a fake window?

I would really like a window in my bathroom. (But since all walls face rooms, that's quite impossible.)

Any ideas on how I can create the illusion of a window? (I'm not a great faux painter and I really don't want to hire one.)

Buy a window frame from a window supplier they usually have windows manufactured the wrong size and are sold off cheaply, tell them what you want and fix it to the wall with curtains can be as elaborate as your imagination allows. good luck

hang and empty picture frame on the wall and put curtains on either side of it and a valance across the top, or put up a roman blind in the middle of it.
