Well Primpers, Napoleon Perdis has certainly done a smashing job creating makeup looks at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane. so much so, that I just had to show you another of his masterpieces for the pretty pastel makeup trend that’s hijacking catwalks at the moment. Using plum and pink tones, the result is romantic and warm makeup with a hint of drama thanks to the smoky, hazy eye and rosy flushed cheeks. Defo a look you can wear day to night and an absolute stunner for summer.

Want to give the pretty pastel makeup trend a go? Follow these steps:
Step 1: begin by applying Napoleon Perdis Complex Skin Renewal Serum, $79.00 to your face and pat into the skin well. Next, prep your skin with a primer. Then, curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and apply your first coat of mascara.
Step 2: Cover up dark circles and any blemishes with a concealer. be sure to warm the concealer into the skin with your finger tip or a sponge.
Step 3: Using Napoleon Perdis The Divine Marchesa Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation, $69.00 spray a small amount on to a foundation brush and stipple across the ‘feature focus’ area of the face. Finish the base by spraying the centre of the face lightly.
Step 4: Apply a touch of concealer across the entire eye lid from the lash line to the brow bone and set with powder to create a matte base for your eye shadow. Then, lightly set the foundation across the ‘feature focus’ area of the face with powder.
Step 5: Stipple Napoleon Perdis Natural Kohl Eyeliner in Purple Reign, $25.00 over the entire eyelid up to the socket and blend well. Line the lower and upper lash line with Napoleon Perdis High Precision Lip Liner in Mauve Minx, $25.00 and smudge well. Then, sweep Napoleon Perdis Prismatic Eye Shadow Quad #2 in Pearl Pink, $49.00 over the entire lid up to the brow bone and apply Napoleon Perdis Eye Patrol in Private Noir, $25.00 to the outer corner of the eye and through the socket.
Step 6: Pat Napoleon Perdis Color Disc in All that Shiraz, $29.00 on to the lid and blend lightly into the socket. Then, sweep Napoleon Perdis Cheek To Chic Blush Duo #3, $39.00 through the socket and on to the inner bridge of the eye, blending until it fades beautifully up to the brow bone.
Step 7: Apply Napoleon Perdis Cheek To Chic Blush Duo #3, $39.00 on to the lower lash line, using a soft brush to create a soft smoke of colour. Then, apply Napoleon Perdis Loose Eye Dust in Star Light, $28.00 to the inner corner of the eye where the tear duct is to highlight. make sure you blend it through to the bottom of the inner corner to open that eye area.
Step 8: Line the inner rim with Napoleon Perdis China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Alabaster, $30.00 and smudge Napoleon Perdis Natural Kohl Eyeliner in Onyx Factor, $25.00 to the outer corner of the upper and lower lash line for definition. Finish with another coat of mascara.
Step 9: Comb brows upwards and define with a brow pencil that matches the shade of your brows. Set unruly brows in place with clear mascara.
Step 10: Add colour to the apples of your cheeks by shading Cheek To Chic Blush Duo #3 in Pomegranate Shimmer, $39.00 up to the temple for a rosy, flushed look. Highlight the top of the cheekbone and Cupid’s bow with an illuminator.
Step 11: To finish, pat Napoleon Perdis Lip Patrol in President Rose, $30.00 on to lips so it looks like a ‘stain’ as opposed to a well defined lip application.
