I have minor long and short sighted problems and I fear they're getting worse. I just wanted to know if it can be treated.(without laser)

they will get worse if you do not use corrective lenses…if you are a teenager and they seem to be getting worse a lot, be patient, your eyes will begin to stay at a certain level and not get as bad as quickly…

Sadly the short sightedness is due to the curvature of the lens. The long sightedness is often associated with ageing eyes. one doesn't offset the other. It just means you end you with bi focals.

i just got new glasses woohoo

They will get worse so get prescription eyeglasses. They will get worse as you grow old so keep going back to get new glasses. I don't think there is any treatment for that.

hi, my brother had an astigmatism (where you eye is shaped like a rugby ball) causing long or short sightedness, he wore quite strong lenses. But with the right glasses and regular optician checks, his eyes corrected themselves and he no longer needs glasses. But about a year i go i found out i had the same short sightedness and need glasses, im just hoping the same will happen..Stay positive it could happe to you..

If your eyes have long or short sightedness, over time does your eyes eventually heal themselves?
