eyelash growth

A friend of mine has had 6 doses of chemo for AML at three week intervals. Her last dose was on June 7 and she had a BMT that same week. Her eyelashes and eyebrows and other body hair have grown back, but for the past month she has had just peach fuzz on her head. It doesn’t seem to be growing. Is this normal? We both know that usually it is 6 weeks or so post-chemo that hair grows back, but she’s starting to get concerned that it isn’t going to grow back. Her doc doesn’t think it’s a problem at the moment.

Has anyone else been through this? No hair 3 months post chemo? Is there a chance that her hair won’t grow back again?

I have heard that olive oil and vaceline does wonders for your eyelashes. Does it really? I started to apply olive oil on my lashes and they do look shiny and healthy already! Can you tell me if Olive oil has worked for you or vaseline? Or are there any othere remedies to have growth to your eyelashes? I want fuller eyelashes, and to lengthen them if possible. After washing my face, I will run my finger across my eyebrows and some loose strands will come out on my finger. Usually 1-3. Also, when my eyebrows are dry, I will ruffle the hairs in the opposite direction of growth, and about 1-3 will come out.

In addition, when I see an eyelash that is sticking out more than the others and looks loose, I’ll ever-so gently pull it out without any effort.

Is it bad to do this? Is it normal to lose 1-6 eyebrow/eyelashes everyday?
