Suffering from Mass Paranoia?

All my life, I've always been paranoid of everything. It was sometimes the usual: not wanting to do the "fall backward and have someone catch you" thing. but most of the time, I suffered from something I can only refer to as the "reverse placebo effect." like, for example, if I learned about some new disease that was bad, I would immediately feel like I had that disease's symptoms. So instead of a placebo effect providing relief, it provided torture. I would hardly sleep at night. Actually, that happened today. I have a bump on my eye, it's a stye, but I'm paranoid about eye cancer. It's pretty ridiculous. Is this normal? or can I do something about it? How can I relax?

sounds to me more like a case of hypochondriasis….a very unrealistic belief that you are indeed suffering from some serious illness.do you have social stress and what kinda personality-type are you, these could be factors stimulating your thoughts….I quess if you are still very young like being a teenager I say it will pass….just try to focus on things/activities you really enjoy doing and take the stress down…..music ,yoga or any activity outdoors<swimming, walking, biking etc>goodluck

It's normal, your just thinking about the bad things. Your mind is weighing the options. Don't worry
