Plastic Surgeons – Choosing the Right One

Plastic surgeons are individuals responsible for changing a patient’s appearance, sometimes forever. thus, the decision of exactly which doctor to choose is one that requires the utmost thought and research. Thankfully, there are some tips to help prospective patients find their match. in this article we will outline some of these tips in order to help with the decision process.

Step 1 – Don’t simply pick a surgeon from the yellow pages. This solution may prove a quick fix when looking for a new pizza joint, however you may decide to spend a little extra time when choosing a physician that will be cutting into your body.

Step 2 – Ask around. if you have friends or family members who have undergone a plastic surgery procedure, talk to them about their experience and decide on candidates accordingly. in addition, you may decide to hop online and check out various forums and reviews concerning surgeons in your area. This is a great way to obtain information regarding potential physicians prior to making contact.

Step 3 – Set up at least three consultations. once you’ve weeded through your list of candidates pick your top three and schedule appointments. Remember not to sign or commit to anything until after the final appointment. During these meetings, be sure to ask questions and document your findings pertaining to education, pricing, experience, and specialties.

Step 4 – Remember to bring pictures to these meetings in order to address your wants and desires regarding the procedure you wish to pursue. also ask to see before and after photos of past patients in order to gauge the quality of work.

Step 5 – Compare your choices. Factors for comparison include qualifications and experience, talent, facilities and staff, financing and fee structure, references, and guarantees.

Step 6 – allow your gut to play a key role in your decision making. do you feel more comfortable with a particular physician? what was their bedside manner like? Did you feel as though the surgeon was truly invested in your happiness and end results?

Step 7 – Don’t base your decision on price alone. While it’s certainly a fact that many physicians exist who offer reasonable fees, there are also those who provide so-so work and charge a hefty amount. Keep in mind the old saying “you get what you pay for” and apply that to this particular situation. Many of these procedures are permanent changes, and thus should be treated delicately. Evaluate all factors prior to making a final decision.

Male Call: Good triumphs over undateable

1278068413 51 Male Call: Good triumphs over undateable

I wasn’t expecting a deep discussion when I had some guy friends over for dinner a few days ago, but I guess I should know by now to expect the unexpected.

While perusing my book collection, one of my friends came upon an interesting title: “Undateable: 311 things Guys Do That Guarantee They Won’t be Dating or Having Sex.”

I didn’t write it, but I sure wish I did. I just bought it to help the economy and with the hope that one day it would inspire a column.

If you’re not familiar with this little tome (which is highly entertaining and informative), it details things men do that … well … they just shouldn’t. Like wear “japris” (capris jeans). Universally bad.

No the authors aren’t evil, man haters. They just want to let men know about the things don’t like. Really, these ladies just want to help. Because the appearance of the dreaded pleated pants, or having no plan for a date, have killed many a promising romance.

Anyway, my friends started thumbing through it and pointing out each other’s heinous sins — owning cats, rocking a mandana (but only during workouts!), wearing Crocs, etc.

Even though these guys engaged in some style misdemeanors, I would never consider any of them undateable. They’re all attractive, well-spoken, smart and really cool, stand-up guys. Really. The other day I saw them help a group of total lady strangers by voluntarily moving a heavy, granite-topped table, so the ladies would have more room to sit together. true story.

The point is, women are actually a lot more forgiving of men’s various foibles than we often get credit for.

For every man out there rocking a faux fur vest and drinking a Cosmo, there’s a woman who loves him because he’s a good guy. yes, he’s a good guy who likes girly drinks, but the fact remains that he’s a good guy. and good almost always triumphs over undateable.

So if you really want to know what the women in your life won’t tell you, go buy the book. It’s hilarious, and you’ll learn something. and, if you’re not a big reader, it does have pictures. Though they don’t pop up. sorry.

If you want to get away with committing a multitude of “undateable” sins while still getting the girl, be a really good guy and treat your girl right. just say no to road rage, undertipping, mesh clothing, those kooky Bill Cosby sweaters and any shoe with Velcro closures.
