Ingrown hairs are a common problem after bikini line hair removal but these tips will tell you how to avoid this painful problem.

Ingrown hairs are a common side effect of bikini line hair removal and they can be particularly painful when they occur in the bikini area. They usually appear as painful red bumps surrounded by inflamed and tender skin. If you have curly hair, you may be more prone to them. If you don’t want your beach-ready bikini line spoiled with these ugly bumps, follow the tips below.

The Best way to shave pubic area without causing ingrown hairs

To avoid ingrown hairs appearing after pubic shaving, don’t shave too close or shave the same skin over and over again. If you are prone to ingrown hairs, don’t shave against the direction of hair growth during pubic shaving. Always use plenty of shaving foam or gel if you’re shaving with a razor. Gently exfoliating before pubic shaving will help get rid of dead skin cells that can trap hairs when they try to re-grow. Exfoliating gloves and creams are widely available. Don’t exfoliate if you have ingrown hairs already. Doing so may make them worse.

Bikini line hair removal using wax

If you’re bikini waxing at home, try to make sure hair comes out by the roots. If you are particularly prone to ingrown hairs, it might be better to go to a salon or spa. The bikini wax they use is more effective at pulling out hair from the roots.

What to do if you get ingrown hairs

Ingrown hairs along the bikini line will usually work their way out on their own over time. You can help them along the way by holding a hot compress over them a few times a day. Don’t wear tight clothing until they have disappeared. Products are available that claim to speed up the healing process of ingrown hairs so ask your pharmacist.

eyelash growth

The enhancement of one’s eyelashes has been in fashion since the beginning of civilization. For example, Ancient Egyptians used natural materials such as Kohl to highlight their eyes. This evidence is further supported by early drawings including those of Cleopatra who has come to be known for her dramatic eyelashes. Although, in this particular case, the painting of the eyes was both a sensible as well as a fashionable choice as the mascara was used to absorb sunlight and diminish reflections.

The next major advancement in eyelash enhancement came in the 1913, when a mixture of coal and water was used to highlight the lashes. This invention would later come to be known as Maybelline mascara.

However, the most important eyelash enhancement has come in the last few years with the invention of eyelash growth products.

In fact, products used to grow eyelashes are the first of their kind as previous cosmetics simply enhanced one’s natural lashes.

Essentially, these products stimulate the eyelash and or eyebrow follicles which results in longer, thicker, and fuller lashes or brows. It is important to note that over-the-counter eyelash growth products work best on existing hair follicles and are not intended for those that have lost all of their lashes or brows due to illness or disease.

How Topical Eyelash Growth Products Work

Topical lash growth products typically contain a blend of ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides and Vitamins in addition to moisturizers to prevent the hair follicles from drying out. Once applied to the hair follicles, these products will not only help grow one’s lashes and or brows, but they will also help increase the fullness/thickness of the hair follicle. Essentially, using these products is like using Miracle-Gro on your eyelashes/eyebrows. The results are truly amazing!

However, while many of the leading lash conditioners do contain similar ingredients, it is important to verify that the formula works via independent, clinical testing. Clinical Testing is the only way to determine that the formula does in fact contain the right blend of ingredients.

How can i stop eyelash clumping from mascara?

I have bought the mascara that has the brush that is supposed to help prevent eyelash clumping. But no matter how close the bristles are together, my eyelashes still clump together terribly. What can i do to keep them from clumping together??and make them look like they’re supposed to instead of 3 or 4 clumps.

Get one of your old mascara brushes and wash it out with a good facial soap (so it won’t irritate your eyes). After applying one coat of mascara, use the clean brush to separate by combing them from the back side. Once the first coat dries you can apply a second coat, combing it out the same after.

Are there any eyelash growth products at Walmart or CVS or any place like that?

I thought Ardell was supposed to be at CVS but I looked at the online website and all there was were false eyelashes and eyebrow kits.

I’m looking at Talika, but I want to know if there’s anything I can find in the meantime, since ordering it offline is more of a hassle cause I dont have a credit card and I want to be doing something for my eyelashes NOW.

They’re short and sparse and naasty.

I have access to Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Target.

Does anybody know of anything??

Put Vaseline or baby oil everynight before you sleep, and it’ll moisturize them, making them grow stronger and healthier.
Just take a q-tip, dip it in whatever you choose to use and apply like mascara. I do this all the time and my eyelashes are so plump :)
Never put Vaseline/baby oil and then mascara though, it’s not good.
But try a thickening mascara like Covergirl Professional Super Thick Mascara to get the appearence of thicker lashes.
Hope I help :)

the Ardell one is a lot cheaper…but I’m not sure which one I should get.

If anyone has experience out there with these products, could you please let me know which one is better?

also, does anyone know WHY they discontinued the production of Dream Lash? (some lady at the as seen on tv store said so..)

LILASH! out of all eyelash growth products, lilash is suppose to be one of the best. but its quite pricey, like $130-ish?
