hey, my eyelashes are quite long, i put vaseline on them but they have white tips which makes them look shorter, any ways to show the white tips instead of mascara. vaseline does not work for me btw. thanks! x

You're like me. I find it odd because I'm quite dark, and my lashed are long and dark, yet the tips are quite light. There's no way to get rid of them, but if you go to a beauty salon, they can tint your eyelashes for you x x x

mascara is all i can think of. Or that new prescription, lattesse.( could be wrong spelling)

are there any tricks to getting my lashes to curl without a perm, extentions, or an eyelash curler?

ok, i have a mascara that is great because its totally clump-free, adds volume, and adds length. but it doesnt really add curl, but i really want my straight lashes to curl! but because the mascara is good for everything else, PLEASE DON'T SUGGEST a DIFFERENT MASCARA.
also, please DON'T suggest getting eyelash extensions or perming my lashes because i dont want to go to that extent just to get curled lashes.
also, please DON'T suggest getting an eyelash curler!!

try using a mascara with a curved brush, that does the trick!

Vaseline or lotion will make it clumpy wether or no your mascara is good or not! even though I read don't suggest new mascara, I do. MaryKay mascara is my absolute favorite; when I put it on I curl it upwards with a rotating motion – it looks prettier and like I used a curler! you could always just stay with your kind and do the motion too! good luck and happy lashes =]

my friend uses a spoon but that is just a little more trickier than an eyelash curler. sorry but i have super straight eye lashes too (some even curve DowN!) & the only way to get them curly is an eyelash curler. i ♥ them. they work great
i think any type of lotion will only weigh them down and that is the total opposite of curly

You can always get another mascara (one with a rounded brush), swap brushes with your current mascara, and you'll get instant curled lashes!! Or, you can always opt to fake lashes.

What is that gel called that makes your eyelashes longer?

I would like to get my eyelashes tinted but I find it very hard to keep still when someone else applies mascara onto me – I automatically squish my eyes closed and get it everywhere. therefore I'm assuming I might find it hard to not squish my eyes closed and get dye everywhere if I went to a salon for eyelash tinting.

So I'm considering doing it myself at home – does anyone have any tips or cautions on technique or recommendations on which kits are good? (& on sale in England.)

Its very easy!

They do a good one in boots called "30 day mascara". Its easy to use. Mix up the dye as instructed.

Put a layer of vaseline around your eyes so that if you squish your eyes while applying the dye, it wont stain your eyelids or cheeks.

The home kits come with this crappy little stick youre meant to use to apply the dye with, but i recommend you rinse an old mascara brush and use that, so that you have maximum control over where it goes!

Leave it on for about 8mins, and use a make up wipe to get rid of it before rinsing your eyes out! voilá!!!

its great if you have steady hands, because then youll be able to apply the formula evenly and properly and youll have lovely lashes for 1000hours (or however long your stuff is for).

buuuut if youre a bit of a butter-fingers (like me), you should probably cough up the extra cash and get it done pro, otherwise youll be stuck with big black blotches on your eyelids for weeks.

How easy is home eyelash tinting?

I want to try wearing false eyelashes on special occasions, but I end up never wearing them because I'm afraid I won't be able to take them off afterwards!

I mean, I know how you put them on, I just don't know how to take them off.

Gently massaging baby oil into the lash line to dissolve the adhesive works.

you can use vaseline to rub on the glue part. it takes a bit to come off but once the lash is off you can rub a bit more so the glue goes loose. just dont get it in your eye.
