Tips for Choosing a Mascara
Mascara is one of the most sought after beauty products and one of the largest selling cosmetic products as well. Mascara is used by women to make their eye lashes look longer and give them a darker and voluminous look. so they can be used to make your eyes look beautiful and for complementing your overall personality.
However due care in needed for the purpose to choose a right mascara according to the characteristic of your natural eyelashes, the exact look you want with your mascara as well as other factors like your age and the purpose of applying a mascara.
Choosing the color:
Generally the true black color is chosen by most of the people who are new to the makeup art as true black color goes well for people of every eyelash color. However if you have blond hair color then you should go for a dark brown shade. Similarly bright colored mascara should not be selected to go along with office where or when you formally dressed up as they might catch undue attention on the eye makeup.
These colors can however be chosen while going for a party or with funky outfits but people above twenties should not select these colors unless they can carry them well. In any case for a natural look you should always team-up the color of your mascara with your natural hair color.
Choosing the brush:
The brushes that come along with a pack of mascara can be made up of plastic or fibers. Now-a-days generally plastic brushes are available as they do not form clumps and also spread the mascara easily and in an even and uniform way. Also various types of brushes are available for the applying a mascara. The most commonly used brushes include the straight brush or the curved brush.
Chose the brush type accordingly i.e. if you want to apply the mascara at the eyelashes at the corner of the eye then straight brush can prove to an asset for you. However the very fact of covering several eyelashes at one go and that too in a uniform manner along with the additional advantage of curving the eyelashes has made curved mascara brush more popular among women.
Choosing the type of mascara:
Mascara comes in two types-one is water proof and the other is non waterproof. The waterproof type of mascara is generally better as it would not run away with a wash of rain water splurging in or if you are crying.
Choosing the correct formula:
Chose a mascara that does not dries up very fast as they can make your eyelashes break easily.Another tip is that you should not share your mascara with anybody as they are considered to be best breeding ground for many bacteria so can cause infection in eyes.
